So I have had a few issues come up with this pregnancy...
(1) Placental Separation - in which I took a very hard stumble, and managed to tear the placenta and uterus about 10%; thank the Lord that is ALL better now.
(2) Partial-Previa - in which the placenta is partially covering the opening to the cervix, and posing real danger only in the event that I do into labor. So I am looking a C-Section because of this; though 99% of the time this moves up and out of the way as the uterus, placenta and baby grow and pull upward. As of my 16 weeks/3day ultrasound it had not moved, but we are sure that will be just fine.
And for the real kicker...In my most recent ultrasound something was discovered that I have never heard of at all...
(3) Placental Sheath - which was explained to me as being potentially dangerous, because it is a sticky layer of paper-like tissue in the top of the placenta that the baby can get a body part stuck to, and stop development. That is the simplest way I know to explain this. I would really like to find someone who has dealt with, and come through this issue just fine, though. It is nerve-wracking, but we are having faith and keeping hope; knowing that God has given us this child for a reason, and that surely it is not meant to be taken away. :) If anyone has any experience with this or insight, please feel free to contact me.
