Our little princess angel is here :) I went in on Sept. 8th for my c-section, and had Miss Calleigh @ 8:46 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs & 10 oz. & was 20 in.'s long. We are completely smitten with her, and we are venturing into parenthood together (Gar has the experience with his 9 yr old, but this is all new to me). Calleigh is 3 wks old today, and it is unbelievable!! I still feel like I am in dream land sometimes, but then the sleep deprevation reminds me that I'm not (LOL). Anyway, here is a slide show ... :) I will post again soon. Hopefully. ;)

2 Weeks To Go ....
The countdown is on now... if nothing happens before, I am set to go in for my c-section on Sept. 8th. YAY!! I am SO ready to have Calleigh here... see her, hold her, feel her, smell her, count her toes and fingers, look into her eyes, and hear all her little noises. And then there is the flip-side... regaining my body... recovering from the c-section, working on loosing weight, and feeling some semblance of "normal." I feel so selfish saying that, but I need it badly for my sanity. This little girl is my miracle and my angel, and the puzzle piece that will complete our family portraits. A family of 4 is completely ideal in so many ways, so to us, our family will be complete. :) Unless, of course, you add in the fact that [to me] a dog would make it even more picture perfect... but that is all in due time. ;)
Anyway, I have an ultrasound, NST, and appointment tomorrow. So, we will see where things stand now. She has been doing perfectly, so I am not worried... just so ready to see her!!
I will post again as soon as I can. :) Thanks for reading this!

The Roller Coaster Ride
These last few weeks have been a mess for me. I am so tired, miserable, and the emotional roller coaster my emotions are on is not at all pleasant ... I hate it! But anyway, enough complaining. I only have 6 weeks until she is here, so I will make it through somehow. ;) I welcome Sept. 8th with open arms!! lol
On July 18th the baby shower was held, and Calleigh got lots of beautiful things!! Here are some photos from the shower, and then the following Monday, the 22nd, when I had to have another ultrasound, an Non-Stress Test & appointment. As of that day I had not thinned out anymore then what I was the few weeks prior, so that was great news... the bed rest is working.Calleigh was looking great, breathing well, and moving wonderfully. Which of course I can attest to, because with the exception of napping, I KNOW she moves great. ;) Oh & P.S. she weigh 4lbs & 7oz on July 22nd, as well. ;)
I am going to try and post again really soon... I just hesitate to post not only out of being super tired a lot of the time, but also because I have been getting so depressed and crying A LOT. But on a positive note... Calleigh's bedding came into Wal-Mart today via Site-to-Store, so I get to pick that up!! Yay!! And I do hae my next appoint. this Friday. So we will see what happens that day. :) Thanks for reading this. - HK -

Bed Rest Yet Again...
So Yeah ... bed rest again ... I had been having a lot of pelvic pressure off and on since the end of last week, and Calleigh has been moving like crazy so I thought... okay, she is head down and it will be fine. Well, yesterday it was worse & baby was not moving much, and hard to walk and so on. So, I called my mid-wife, and she wanted me to come in for a NST (non-stress test) & so she could check my cervix. Low and behold, the mucus had started to thin some & the cervix is trying to open already (here in my 29th week).
Now I am on "moderate bed rest" .. get up , eat breakfast, lay down for 2 hours, light activity at lunch, lay down for 2 more hours, get up and continue light actiivity for a while, and be in bed by 8 p.m. We are having to stay with the in-laws, and while I love them to death I don't wanna be there constantly throughout the day, so I am doing the absolute best I can with this... but we own a business where we are building our apartment above it, and we have a sofa here so I can lay down that way, too. *sigh* Baby is doing great, but it's my stinking body that wants to be retarted. GRR!

3rd Trimester Beginnings
What a roller coasters this pregnancy has been! =)But alas, Miss Calleigh Elizabella is thriving & growing, and looking more and more beautiful each time we see her on the ultrasound (3D). My only real complaint would have to be the headaches I keep having, and trying to keep my stress level down. Otherwise, I am great.
Calleigh now weighs 2 lbs & 15 oz.!! Her heart, kidneys & lungs, etc. are looking great, and the partial previa is completely gone. However, I do still have a low lying placenta. Which is fine, and not a problem really. But I was scheduled for a C-Section today ... that will be Sept. 8th!! WOW!! That one week earlier is giving Gar a mild heart attack, but it will be okay. The C-Section is a precaution due to all I have been through, and went through when I lost my first child @ 8 months of pregnancy. Loosing him was one of those fluke things, b/c he was perfectly healthy. But now with her, we just want to be as sure as possible.
I will be going to the OB again in 2 weeks for another ultrasound and check up, and then once a week after that and getting a stress test each week to monitor the baby's stress level & make sure she stays perfectly fine. Of course, another few ultrasounds will follow... :)
So the baby shower for family and close friends is on July 18th... and everyone keeps asking "what do you need, want, etc.??" My answer... I am registered at Wal-Mart & Target, but feel free to think outside the box!! LOL
I am excited about Calleigh's room & what I have decided to do with it... I am a very eclectic person, so there is not going to be any real, huge theme. However, there is a color scheme and overall idea for her room ... a shabby chic, surfer cottage feel. The main colors will range from light sage green (walls), various shades of pink, brown & white. I love hibiscus & daisies, butterflies & dragonflies, so on and so forth.

OUR LITTLE GIRL.... :)
So everything went well today, and found out our LO is a GIRL :) My gut was right... lol YAY!!
She looked great, was moving lots, and is a little ahead of the curve weighing in at 13 oz. already ... And I am measuring closer to 21 weeks then the 20 wks 3 days I am. Her heart rate was running about 150 as well.
The partial previa is still there, and I will go for another U/S in 8 weeks; with a routine office visit in 4 weeks. But the other thing... the placental sheath has MOVED up and out of the way of the baby, thank the Lord!!!
So here SHE is KALEIGH ELIZABELLA LOUDERMILK
